EDoc

Local GPs in North East Wicklow (NEW Doc), Dun Laoghaire (DL Doc), and South East Dublin (East Doc) have come together with Northdoc Medical Services CLG to provide urgent GP services to their patients.

Many of the doctors who work in the Carlton Clinic also work in Edoc in North East Wicklow during the evenings and at weekends.

The service is provided for those patients who have urgent medical problems and who need to contact a doctor after day time surgeries close. It operates from 6:00pm through 08:00am Monday to Friday and 24 hours Saturday, Sunday and all bank and public holidays.

How the EDoc service operates:

When you first call E Doc a call-taker will take all your details and then a triage nurse will call you back. The triage nurse will discuss the nature of the medical problem and will decide the best course of action for you to take. This might be simple advice from the nurse, a call from the doctor, or the arrangement of an appointment to see a doctor in one of our centres. In exceptional cases and based on medical need and other factors a home visit will be arranged.
